I’m Michael.
I’m a designer, animator, and writer who recently completed a master’s degree in visual communication at the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media. My work is dedicated to making scholarship—especially in the humanities—more accessible to the public, whether by creating animations about LGBTQ+ history for K-12 students or by designing an infographic about representations of women in Shakespeare. I’m particularly interested in projects related to LGBTQ+ issues, gender studies, and American culture, and I hold a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Michigan.
When I’m not working, I enjoy running, reading, baking, and watching an indecent amount of reality television.
